Symbols Of Democracy & Freedom
The Mount Rushmore monument is a sculpture carved into the side of Mount Rushmore in the United States. It depicts the faces of four past American presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.
The fact this has been made by humankind is astounding. The pure skill and intricacy of the monument captures its audience’s attention straight away. There’s really nothing quite like it. The heads are 60 feet high and were thought up by Doane Robinson who sought to increase tourism in the area. Today, 3 million people journey to see these stone faces every year.
