This European Capital Has Just Been Crowned the World’s Most Scenic Cruise Port
When you picture a cruise port, you might imagine concrete docks and warehouses—not exactly postcard material. But every so often, you sail into a harbour that’s so striking, you’ll be reaching for your camera before you’ve even set foot on land.

According to new research by AllClear Travel, one European capital has just been officially named the world’s most scenic cruise port: Valletta, Malta. Using eye-tracking technology to measure how quickly and how long people’s attention was drawn to photos of ports around the globe, Valletta scored a perfect 100 out of 100.
And it’s no wonder. The entire city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with golden limestone buildings that glow against the shimmering blue Mediterranean. The port itself is only a 15-minute stroll from the historic centre, where AllClear suggests heading straight to the Upper Barrakka Gardens for sweeping views back over the harbour.
