The UK’s most beautiful coastal views have been revealed!
Few things beat the feeling of gazing out at an endless sweep of blue, the rhythmic hush of waves instantly slowing your pulse. For many of us, a great sea view isn’t just a holiday bonus – it’s essential. And here in the UK, we’re spoilt for choice.
Now, a new survey from holiday park company Haven and OnePoll.com has ranked the 30 most breathtaking coastal views in Britain, and the top spot goes to St Ives in Cornwall – a town where it’s almost impossible not to be greeted by a postcard-worthy panorama.

From the surfer-favourite Porthmeor Beach to the sweeping sands of Porthminster, which offers views towards the iconic Godrevy Lighthouse, and the tucked-away charm of Porthgwidden Beach, St Ives is a masterclass in coastal beauty. And when you’ve had your fill of sea air, there’s Tate St Ives, Barbara Hepworth’s sculpture garden, and cosy pubs like the Sloop Inn to retreat to.
In second place is Robin Hood’s Bay in North Yorkshire, a picture-perfect fishing village where red-roofed cottages tumble down to a golden sweep of sand. Padstow, another Cornish gem, rounds out the top three with its harbour, foodie scene and nearby bays.

The study also revealed just how much we value a room with a view – eight in ten people said it’s important, and over a third said it’s non-negotiable. More than half agreed the sea boosts their mental health, and two-thirds believe the UK’s coastal views rival anything abroad.
