Imagine its construction with approximately 2.5 million blocks. The second pyramid was built by Khufu's son Khafre and the third by his grandson Menkaure.

In the complex by Khufu's pyramid lies the mighty mythical Sphinx. It depicts a reclining lion and is thought to have the face of Khufu himself. The Sphinx measures 73 m long and is 20 m tall.The Sphinx was restored by Thutmose IV when he dreamed that if the throne was his if the Sphinx was repaired.
