Kuoni Finally Offers Luxury Travel Options In The UK For First Time In 100 Years!

Founded more than a century ago, Kuoni, a travel brand that specializes in luxury holidays has finally decided to include UK packages!

With the recent pandemic restricting travel there is a current surge of interest in domestic travel, and Kuoni are now focusing their sites on supplying for that new found demand.

There is a range of offers for travellers including Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way and rural Northumberland.

The chief executive of Kuoni said:

“We’re famed for planning special trips to beautiful places around the world but we think there are many equally stunning places to discover closer to home as well.

“The coronavirus crisis has played havoc with people’s travel plans so we wanted to create a collection of quality, premium trips throughout the UK and Ireland which blend local culture, adventure and exploration with luxury style.

“This is about working with like-minded specialists with similar values, and introducing more reasons for people to trust us with their special travel plans so we can broaden the scope of what we can offer.”

McKinlay Kidd (a UK specialist) was bought on board to help develop the trips. Co-founder Heather McKinlay went on record to say “Lots of people know Kuoni for their beautiful beach escapes and we want to surprise people about what’s on their doorstep”.

Kuoni are not the first travel company to recognise this inevitable trend and attempt to capitalise on it.

With the government planning to implement it’s 2 week quarantine program from June 8th, the impetus to focus on domestic travel has increased even more in the last couple of weeks.

Whilst airlines and regions such as Spain and Greece are suffering greatly with the economic crunch that travel restrictions inevitably bring, tourism companies in the UK are optimistic this will lead to the public looking to make holidays on their own shores a more common occurrence.
