The addition of AirSense which is used to identify nearby flying objects from plans to helicopters and the tech upgrades are seriously awesome. The demand is already through the roof as everyone knows, the most gorgeous aerial shots are going to give vloggers and travellers a cutting edge advantage in their b-reel.

It also has some great upgrades: it's APAS (Advanced Pilot Assistance System) that makes use of it’s 3D mapping to avoid collisions during autopilot. The new light sensors also help aid landing in poor lighting.

The redesigned controller is also much more intuitive and even first timers should have no problem safely taking off and landing. The Mavic Air 2 is available for pre-order starting today for $799 and will begin shipping May 11th in the US.

You can also grab the Fly More bundle which comes with charging hubs, three batteries, prop guards, carrying bag and ND filters for just $988.

This is no doubt DJI’s smartest and safest drone yet and even has a detection mode for photos in snow, dense fauna, blue skies or sunsets. That means each photo is tailored exactly for the specific environment and captures all of it’s glory to their maximum potential.

The new sensor inside the Mavic Air 2 is a half-inch, “Quad Bayer” sensor.

For video, the Air 2 can shoot 4K footage at up to 60fps.

For those who want future proof gadgets you can even export 8k time-lapse videos, but not all modes will feature this at launch.

If you want gorgeous video memories of your next adventure this is a must have. Perhaps you can’t travel right now, but you can invest in a tool that will greatly enhance your next journey and help you preserve those precious memories for a lifetime.
