Zanzibar: picture-perfect white-sand beaches, swaying tropical palms, and azure waters teeming with kaleidoscopic marine life. Spend 4 days exploring this captivating island, snorkeling, visiting fascinating historic sites, or simply relaxing on the beach with a cocktail in hand. Designed as an add-on to our 7-day Tanzanian Safari Adventure.
You will be collected from Zanzibar airport and transferred to your hotel. Spend the remainder of the day as you please, relaxing with a drink at the hotel bar, on the beach, or exploring the island.
Today you are free to explore the island as you please, or as an optional extra, take a guided tour of Zanzibar City's old quarter, Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, that was once a key hub on the east to west trade route, or take a trip to Jozani Forest, a haven of biodiversity, home to all manner of flora and fauna including, the red colobus monkey.
After breakfast, you'll be picked up and taken to the local harbour where we'll head out on a boat trip in the tranquil azure waters. Snorkelling gear will be provided so you can enjoy the colourful marine life and the crystal clear waters. Then it's back to dry land, where you can spend the rest of the day as you please relaxing on the snow-white sand, enjoying the tranquil beauty of this paradise!
Spend your final day enjoying the island in any way you please. In the late afternoon, you will be picked up from your hotel and dropped off at the airport, for your return flights home.
