How To Read The Signs And Know It’s Your Destiny To Travel The World

It’s very difficult to find someone who doesn’t love a holiday isn’t it?

In fact most of us sit and tell stories of what we’ve booked 6 months in advance with a beaming smile that looks like we’ve slept with a coat hanger in our mouths!

So why don’t many of us take the leap and REALLY travel?

For some of us it’s not feasible with our families, mortgages etc. For others it’s just a case of not knowing how and never having seen it as a realistic possibility.

They are all factors we have to consider as individuals.

However here are some signs that might be signalling out, you need to go travel the world!

1) Your Most Exotic Recent Meal Was A Take-Away

Traditional Vegetarian Thali

The most exotic meal you recently had was a cheap imitation take-away of a cuisine that’s from another continent. If you think the Indian around your neighbourhood is delicious, that's fine. If you think that’s the peak of Indian cuisine you’re sadly mistaken.

2) You hate your job.

Stressed At Work

Again another difficult issue we face is the need to earn a living, whilst preserving some sanity and not letting our jobs sap us of joy. If you’re someone who’s genuinely sick to the back teeth of your job, it’s time to start looking for means to earn abroad (English teacher, online freelance work etc).

3) The clothes on your back have travelled further than you!

If you’ve got a favourite cardigan made in China but the furthest you’ve been is Greece, it’s time to really get out there. Are you going to really be out-explored by a knitted cardigan?!

4) You love even generic travel quotes

You love even generic travel quotes because they are nudging at something you’ve intuitively known for a while now.

Live with no excuses and travel with no regrets People don't take trips, trips take people. Not all who wander are lost.

5) You love looking at travel pics

Beautiful Bay In Thailand

I think every single person who’s a member of the bookitlist tribe understands this one. I’ve had beaches in Thailand and rolling hills of Yorkshire as my desktop background in the last month alone! When was the last time you looked at a destination photo and thought “if only.”
