Our Pick

3 Peaks Challenge

First take a rest in a bunkhouse the night before so you're full of beans for the challenge ahead. Then begin the real challenge by briskly hiking up Ben Nevis, Scotland's highest peak. Rest your legs and get chauffeured to your next summit, down South at Scaffel Pike. After your second mountain in the same day head to your final challenge of Snowdon in the beautiful bucolic hills of Wales. This is one of the most rewarding things you can do with a twenty four hour window.

Faq?

You'll need fairly sturdy legs to do it in 24 hours. That doesn't mean weightlifting legs, you don't need to be a strong squatter. Just someone who can stay on your toes for the best part of a day and keep putting one foot in front of the other.

We recommend 6-8 weeks trainnig for those who aren't active already. If you can't get out into the hills, set the treadmill to incline 5% and got your walking shoes on.

Just comfortable walking shoes and quick-dry comfortable clothing. Of course you'll also need a windbreaker or similar jacket in case the weather takes a turn for the worse.

The tour provides refuge for all comers, so even if you're alone in your exploits, they'll be a group with you to keep you pushing onwards and upwards.
