The Eiffel Tower is 1063ft tall (324 metres), and the base measure 410ft x 410ft (125m x 125m). It's also the tallest structure in Paris.
You can buy your own tickets and visit it independently by booking tickets in advance or queuing up on the day (expect to queue for a couple of hours or more). Or you can join a guided tour which will take you up the Tower.
On a short break to Paris, chances are you'll be using public transport. You can easily get to the there by bus or metro.
Take buses which stop at 'Tour Eiffel' or 'Champs de Mars' and you can walk from any of these stops and stations.
Taxi's are the quicker option, but obviously more pricey.
If you only want to see the first and second floors of the Eiffel Tower, you'll need up to two hours. But if you want to go all the way to the top, allow three hours. You don't want to feel rushed for time!
